The whey protein in Peptamen® formulas is hydrolyzed, or broken down into smaller peptides, which are protein fragments that are easy to absorb and digest. Peptamen® formulas contain a higher percentage of these smaller peptides compared to other peptide-based formulas, so our formulas can make a real difference in delivering valuable nutrition to our GI-impaired patients.

Fat is an essential macronutrient. The fat found in Peptamen® formulas is made up of MCT and LCT (long-chain triglycerides). MCTs are easily absorbed and can be used quickly as an energy source. No other formulas contain a higher ratio of MCT to LCT than Peptamen® formulas.
